Friends of Woking Palace Daffodil Walk

Celebrate the coming of Spring by joining a conducted 'Daffodil' walk taking in Woking Palace and Newark Priory on Sunday 22 March 2015, starting at 10.30 am.

This is a circular walk to Woking Palace, a Tudor Mansion in the meadows to the east of Old Woking, then past the ruins of Newark Priory returning along the River Wey. The highlight of the walk will be seeing the wild daffodils in the copse at Woking Palace.

Distance: About 6.5km (4 miles) Time: Approximately 2 hours Going: Flat with uneven ground, parts impassable when wet.

Starting point: Under Old Woking Cross at the mini-roundabout, junction B382 and A247 (Broadmead Road) head east along Old Woking High Street to the junction of Church Street.

If travelling to starting point by car, park in the free long-stay car park (Beyond the smaller short stay one) off the mini-roundabout at the junction of the B382 (High Street) and the A247 (Broadmead Road),TQ018 569.
