About Us |
|
The Charity is administered by an Executive Committee consisting of nine members including two nominated members, one being nominated by Woking Borough Council and the other by Woking Galleries, the balance being elected at the Annual General Meeting which is held in September each year or as soon as practicable thereafter.
The annual cost of membership is £5 (£7.50 for family membership). Friends receive Newsletters from time to time together with information on future events and developments. Our financial year begins on 1st January. Those joining after 1st October are credited with membership until 31st December of the following year.
There is a Membership Application Form on the Membership page. Those wishing to join the Friends can print out the page, complete the form and send it together with their remittance to the Secretary, Friends of Woking Palace, c/o 56 Tregarth Place, Woking, GU21 3JY.
If you pay UK income tax and sign the Gift Aid Declaration on the application form attached, your subscription will be worth 28% more than you actually pay to the Friends. For example, because the Friends can claim tax back from the Government, £5 becomes £6.40 at no extra cost to you.
Please sign the Gift Aid Declaration if you can.
How can you help?
Public access to the monument is currently restricted but the site is open to the general public about three times a year - see Events, the local press and notice boards throughout the Borough.
If you would be interested in helping at these Open Days or in other ways, please tick the box on the application form.
Fill in the attached form now and help with the long term conservation, repair and maintenance of the Palace site. |
