Access to the site is by foot only (about 1 mile from Old Woking). Park in the free car park at the mini roundabout at the entrance to the village. Cars should NOT be parked in Carters Lane which is a private road. Turn down Carters Lane from the Old Woking Road at the Old House and at the end of the lane turn right and go forward until you reach the site entrance on the right. There are no facilities or parking at the site. Disabled visitors should contact Barry Williams at Woking Borough Council on 01483 743443 or email: visits at woking-palace.org
During the day from Monday to Saturday routes 462/463 and 71 provide an almost half hourly service to Old Woking High Street from Woking Town Centre. There are no buses on Sundays. You are advised to check bus timetables particularly the times of buses back to the Town Centre.
Apart from Open Days access to the site is restricted to organised visits only. |
